La ricostruzione si basa su un paio di resoconti (uno della metà del '500, l'altro del 1921) che parlano di un animale che vivrebbe nell'Oceano Indiano e nelle acque del Sud-Est Asiatico: lungo circa 20 metri, i vietnamiti lo chiamano Con-Rit, "millepiedi". Il disegno è stato complicato da realizzare. All'inizio non riuscivo a figurarmi qualcosa leggendo le testimonianze riportate nell'articolo; poi mi sono accorto che, con un po' di fantasia, si poteva vedere qualche somiglianza con l'artropode del Cambriano Anomalocaris, ed è a quello che mi sono ispirato, integrando i dettagli presenti nelle descrizioni d'epoca.

This reconstruction is based on a couple of reports (one from the mid XVI century, the other one from 1921) which spoke about a mysterious animal who lives in the Indian Ocean and in the seas of South-East Asia: about 65ft/20m long, Vietnamese call it Con-Rit, which roughly means "millipede".

This artwork was quite difficult to make. At first I wasn't able to figure out something from those reports; then I noticed that – with some imagination – we could see some similarities with the Cambrian arthropod Anomalocaris, and that's what inspired me, adding every detail I could from the reports I read.
