Giusto per far capire che in questo periodo non me ne sto affatto con le mani in mano, ecco una tavola in assoluta anteprima dal sesto – e ultimo – volume della serie "Dinosauri", che si intitolerà "Il Re".
L'epica battaglia tra Tyrannosaurus e Triceratops è stata innumerevoli volte raccontata per immagini, tanto da diventare parte di una certa iconografia "paleofantasy". Forse i bambini moderni (molto influenzati dal cinema e quindi fan di Raptor e Spinosauri vari) non così tanto, ma quelli almeno fino alla mia generazione hanno questa scena ben impressa nella loro fantasia.
In questo libro abbiamo cercato di raccontare questa "battaglia" come probabilmente è davvero avvenuta. Quando il risultato sarà nelle librerie, l'anno prossimo, spero che non rimarrete delusi.
Nota tecnica: le "ombre" arancioni sono una indicazione per la colorista.

Just to make you know what I'm working on in this period, here is a plate in absolute preview from the sixth - and final - Dinosaurs series volume, which will be titled (in Italy) "Il Re" (The King).
The epic battle between Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops has been told countless
times in pictures and books, so far as to become part of a certain "paleofantasy"
iconography. Perhaps the today childs (much influenced by movie Raptors and Spinosaurs) not so much, but those at least from my generation have this scene very well imprinted in their imagination.
In our book we tried to tell this "battle" as probably really happened. When the outcome will be in libraries, next year, I hope that you will not be disappointed.
Technical note: the orange "shadows" are an indication for the colorist.
