A couple of days ago I posted a lot of things (29 devs). A part from some photos, it was some quite old material from my Dinosaurs book series: I wished to post these works from a while, but I always postponed them for different reasons. The main one was that I consider dinosaurs as a more or less closed chapter of my career... let me explain: if someone comes to offer me a paleoart job, I surely wouldn't refuse it, after all I still like dinosaurs and co. (especially after I closed a pending matter...), but anyway I feel a strong need to do SOMETHIN ELSE, to set free what I really have inside my soul, which is something that goes beyond the "simple" task of reconstructing an extinct beast; which is an interesting job, but only up to an extent degree.
Then, even if I rationally know this doesn't matter a lot, seeing that those quite old dino-devs gained in such a small time such a big amount of favs... annoyed me. Quite a lot.
I mean, I'm happy with my paleoart works, especially now that some time is passed, that I'm changed a bit and so I'm now able to look at these works with some distance and sometimes – without any false modesty – I just can't avoid to tell myself that I worked well.
So, a part of me is happy about all these paleofavs. But there's another part of me which suffers seeing that the possible cover of my current project fav.me/d5g52qr gained 40 favs in a month, while "Headbutting the Day" kronosaurus82.deviantart.com/a… (picking up one by chance among the last ones posted) gained FIFTY-THREE FAVS IN LESS THAN TWO DAYS.
And each time I log-in DA I find tenths of fav messages for these new-old dinoworks.
How can I avoid to ask myself some questions?

The Shallows – distribuito in Italia come “Paradise Beach” – ovvero: la mia classica recensione fuori tempo massimo.
The Mac is dead... long live to the Mac?

...I get the distinct impression that given the sentiments expressed here, an apology is owed-from me to you-for that rather prolonged discussion over the T. tanneri piece. If responses like that are an irritating digression from current projects, I'll make sure to tone it down a notch-dinos may set off everyone's inner preteen, but historical aviation-'specially the non-Allied variety-can always use more love.
